New Aircraft to Serve Fractional Aircraft Owners in Two Markets
KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 22, 2009 --- Executive AirShare today announced that the Kansas City, Mo.-based fractional aircraft ownership company has taken delivery of its second Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft. This aircraft has entered service and is the first shareowner Phenom 100 in the program.
The new Phenom 100 will be based at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport (ICT) and initially will serve Executive AirShare shareowners in Wichita and Kansas City (MKC). Executive AirShare is anxiously awaiting the delivery of its third Phenom 100, which is scheduled to enter service at Ft. Worth Meacham International Airport (FTW) at the end of July.
The company will take delivery of five more Phenom 100 aircraft in the balance of 2009 and will base these aircraft at each of the markets the company serves including Dallas, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, in addition to Wichita, Kansas City and Ft. Worth.
Executive AirShare holds orders for 42 Phenom 100 and six Phenom 300 aircraft, making it the only established fractional aircraft ownership company to offer both airframes.
"Our Phenom 100 entry-level jet is all we expected it would be," said Executive AirShare Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert D. Taylor. "Our shareowners and prospects alike are impressed with its spacious cabin, superior range and speed and low operating costs. We are excited to have our second of many Phenom 100s in service for our owners."
"The Phenom 100 is the most capable entry-level jet on the market today, with trip costs that are similar to those of our King Air C90B and King Air 350 turboprop aircraft," said Executive AirShare President and Chief Operating Officer Keith D. Plumb. "Now that we have flown over 160 hours in our demonstrator aircraft, word is spreading very quickly about the performance and comfort of this exceptional aircraft."
The Phenom 100 is powered by dual Pratt & Whitney Canada PW617F-E turbofan engines, has a range with four occupants of 1,178 nautical miles (2,182 kilometers or 1,356 miles) with NBAA IFR reserves and is capable of flying at 41,000 feet (12,497 m) and has a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.70 or 390 knots.
It features the Prodigy Flight Deck, based upon Olathe, Kan.-based Garmin International's all-glass, fully-integrated avionics suite, which includes three interchangeable 12-inch displays-two Primary Flight Displays (PFD) and one Multi-Function Display (MFD). The system integrates all primary flight, navigation, communication, terrain, traffic, weather, engine instrumentation, and crew-alerting system data and presents the composite information in brilliant, sunlight-readable color on three high-definition displays. All of Executive AirShare's Phenom 100 aircraft feature interiors crafted by DeCrane Aerospace in Peshtigo, Wisc.
Executive AirShare has received approval to fly the Phenom 100 under single-pilot operations for fractional flights if the shareowner chooses, enabling owners to place an extra passenger in the co-pilot's seat and reducing overnight crew expenses.
