Experienced Composites Manager to Lead Transition to Full-Rate Production on A500 and A700

 

Englewood, CO, April 17, 2006Adam Aircraft announced today the appointment of Rob Penrod as Vice President of Manufacturing. Penrod joins Adam Aircraft from Bell Helicopter. As Director of Operations, he led a business unit of more than 400 employees and annual sales of $600 Million. With cross-functional oversight of manufacturing, tooling, industrial engineering, and quality, Penrod led Bell’s efforts to transition the V-22 Osprey, a complex composite tilt-rotor aircraft, from developmental stages into full-rate production. Prior to joining Bell Helicopter, Penrod spent 19 years with the Aerostructures Corporation of Nashville, Tennessee. Rob has more than 27 years of aerospace experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, program management, marketing, inventory management, and lean methodologies.

Executive jet’s new price effective in June

São José dos Campos, April 7, 2006Embraer announced today that the launch price of the Phenom 100 will be maintained through May 31, 2006. Effective June 1, 2006, the price of the executive jet will be US$ 2.85 million for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification, in January 2005 economic conditions. The announced launch price was US$ 2.75 million.

Eclipse Aviation continues to expand factory service center network

GAINESVILLE, FL — April 03, 2006Eclipse Aviation, manufacturer of the revolutionary Eclipse 500 very light jet (VLJ), and the Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority held a groundbreaking ceremony today to begin construction of the Eclipse Aviation factory service center in Gainesville, Florida. The Gainesville facility will be part of a network of seven U.S. Factory Service Centers dedicated to Eclipse 500 maintenance and support.

Englewood, CO, March 10, 2006— Today Adam Aircraft announced that Craig Johnson has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. Johnson comes to Adam Aircraft from the Northrop Grumman Electronics Sector, where he served as Vice President, Network-Centric Systems; Vice President, F-16 Sensor Systems; Vice President, Supply Chain Management; and Vice President, Aerospace Systems Program Operations. He also held executive positions with AlliedSignal Technical Services Corporation; McDonnell Douglas Corporation (including leading the F-15 Eagle fighter program); and General Dynamics Corporation. Following graduation from the United States Air Force Academy, he served in Southeast Asia, flying more than 85 combat missions in the A-7D and A-10A aircraft.

US Air Force Pilots To Train On Diamond DA20C1s Print E-mail

The US Air Force Air Education Training Command has selected DOSS AVIATION of Colorado Springs, as provider of the Initial Flight Screening (IFS) program for US Air Force Pilots. DOSS was selected from three finalist bidders, all of whom had bid with a customized version of Diamond's DA20-C1.
