Epic Aircraft Welcomes Former Gulfstream Executive Print E-mail

Bend, OR, July 16th, 2008—Fred Breidenbach, former President and Chief Operating Officer of Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, has joined Epic Aircraft’s Board of Advisors. Breidenbach led a team at Gulfstream credited with the development and certification of the Gulfstream GV, recipient of the prestigious Collier Trophy.

“The chemistry between Epic CEO Rick Schrameck and me fit perfectly,” Breidenbach said. He went on to joke, “I like to keep my hands in a few things to prevent my brain from totally atrophying during retirement and I came across this really interesting general aviation aircraft company right here in Bend, OR. Epic’s business plan and product line are quite innovative, and I’m looking forward to helping.”

While at Gulfstream Breidenbach is credited with leading a major financial turnaround, with the company’s revenues topping $2.0 billion during his tenure. He is also recognized for developing an innovative production process that allowed for the GIV
and GV to be built on a single assembly line.

Breidenbach also served 25 years with General Electric in both their aerospace and engine divisions. He also served as the Chairman of the Board for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.

“I feel very lucky because for whatever reason, our work here at Epic has always attracted some of the world’s most talented people,” Epic Aircraft CEO Rick Schrameck said. “Working with someone like Fred, with his unmatchable aviation experience, is a dream come true for all of us here at Epic!”

Breidenbach becomes part of a unique business model which enables customers to build their own customized version of the world’s fastest single-engine turboprop, the Epic LT. Epic’s customer build center in Bend currently has 17 projects under
construction, including the first Victory jet. The Victory, a 320+ knot single-engine VLJ, was nominated for the Robert J. Collier Trophy in 2007.
