Embraer Begins to Deliver the Phenom 100 In Brazil

The first three models of the entry level aircraft are already operating in the country

São José dos Campos, July 9, 2009 – Embraer began deliveries of the first units of the entry level Phenom 100 executive jet in Brazil at the end of June. The first customers to receive the aircraft were Algar Aviation, from Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, for its charter operations, Wellborn Participações, from Londrina, Paraná, and Locar Guindastes e Transportes Intermodais, from São Paulo. The latter two will be using their aircraft for corporate purposes.

“It is gratifying for Embraer to see the Phenom 100 flying with Brazilian customers so quickly, since worldwide deliveries began just seven months ago,” says Breno Corrêa, Embraer Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Latin America – Executive Jets. “From now on, Brazilians will have access to the superior comfort and exceptional performance of the best jet in its category.”

Of more than 800 firm orders for the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets, over 100 are for Latin America, 70% of which for the Brazilian market.

The Phenom 100 was launched in 2005 to establish standards of comfort and performance for the entry level category, and it went into operation in December 2008. Currently, more than 20 Phenom 100 jets are operating, worldwide.
