Yellow Air Taxi Begins New Service To Key West Print E-mail
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - February 28, 2007 -- Yellow Air Taxi made its inaugural flight to Key West (EYW) from the Naples Municipal Airport (APF) on Saturday, February 17, 2007. Establishing themselves on the west coast of Florida and Key West is part of their strategic plans for future expansion. Yellow Air Taxi has three scheduled flights daily between Naples and Key West and, beginning on March 15, Yellow Air Taxi will fly to Key West from Fort Lauderdale twice daily.

The schedules are designed for day trips as well as overnight stays. The first flights out of both Naples and Fort Lauderdale are early in the morning with the final returning flights leaving Key West in the early evening. Flights do not operate on Tuesday or Wednesday. Fares begin at $99 (plus taxes and fees) each way.

Key West has always been a regional tourist attraction for visitors and residents of South Florida. “When Cape Air discontinued service from Naples to Key West, it left a real void in the marketplace, a great opportunity for Yellow Air Taxi,” said Christopher Behnam, President. “We are thrilled to be established in Key West, just as they are building the new airport facility. Flights from Fort Lauderdale to Key West are scheduled to begin on March 15, 2007,” he continued. Behnam was greeted with enthusiasm at Saturday’s inaugural flights by television cameras and officials of the Naples Airport Authority.
