World’s First VLJ Designated for Use in Commercial Fleet Operations

OSHKOSH, WISC. – July 28, 2006 – DayJet™ and Eclipse Aviation Corporation today unveiled the first Eclipse 500 very light jet (VLJ) to be utilized in commercial fleet operations. Eclipse 500 serial number 2, built at the Eclipse Aviation production facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, made its dramatic debut when it touched down at 12 p.m. Central Standard Time this morning at the EAA’s AirVenture 2006 in OshKosh, Wisconsin. The aircraft is the first of a new breed that will be used by DayJet to launch its innovative new “Per-Seat, On-Demand” jet service. The aircraft will be on display outside the Eclipse exhibit (west of AeroShell Square) through Sunday, July 30.

The DayJet aircraft on display this week is the first in a fleet that will expand to as many as 309 Eclipse 500 aircraft within two years. DayJet will launch service in Florida by year’s end –
starting first in Boca Raton, Gainesville, Lakeland, Pensacola and Tallahassee – expanding to more than 20 locations across four Southeastern states within 12 months.

Bringing On-Demand Jet Travel to More People and Organizations

DayJet has developed the first “Per-Seat, On-Demand” jet service that makes the convenience of corporate jet travel broadly available and affordable for more people and organizations, turning wasted travel time into valuable business and personal time. “Per-Seat” means customers only pay for the seat(s) booked, not the whole aircraft. “On-Demand” means customers fly only on their individually negotiated schedules. The company will never publish schedules or operate on fixed schedules. DayJet flights will be uniquely tailored to each customer’s needs and priced at a modest premium to equivalent regional full-fare coach airfares.
