Epic Aircraft Sets All-Time Sales Record Print E-mail

Lakeland, Florida, April 21, 2007—Epic Aircraft, manufacture of the world’s highest performance airplanes, posted total sales figures of more than $23,000,000.00 during the 7- day Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In last week in Lakeland, Florida. Industry observers say that is likely the highest sales figure ever posted by an aircraft manufacturer during Sun ‘n Fun’s 30+ year history.

“These sales figures come from signed contracts with non-refundable deposits,” beamed Epic CEO Rick Schrameck. It was his company’s first time at Sun ‘n Fun, the traditional opening event for the summer air show season. “Our sales success has exceeded even my wildest dreams!”

On the show’s opening day Epic unveiled two brand new aircraft, a single-engine Very Light Jet named the Victory and the Escape, a 92% scaled version of the wildly successful Epic LT. Both of the new aircraft will come to market priced less than a million dollars. Within the first four days of the show, Epic tallied $15,600.000.00 of sales, more than half of which was generated from buyers excited about the company’s two new aircraft. Six of the new Victory jets sold along with 2 of the Escapes. That balance of the sales figures was distributed between the Epic LT and its soon-to-be-certified iteration, the 340 KTAS Epic Dynasty.

At the air show Epic displayed photographs of several Victory jet airframes currently under construction at the Bend, Oregon production facility. Schrameck has vowed to fly the Victory jet into AirVenture at Oshkosh later this year, and to deliver at least 6 of the 4-5 seat jets to customers before the end of 2007.

Also at Sun ‘N Fun this year, Epic announced an exclusive alliance with Garmin to provide the growing family of Epic aircraft with state-of-the-art glass cockpit instrumentation. Owner-built airplanes will feature the Garmin G900 avionics suite, while certified aircraft will sport the G1000.

The excitement is not over. Next week, Epic plans to fly its twin Williams International jetengine Elite for the first time. The carbon composite airframe will seat up to 8 people with a maximum cruise speed of 412 knots at FL410.
