Embraer to Present Customer Support Plans at NBAA 2006 Print E-mail

Service center network, logistics and training providers, and the Embraer Executive Care program to be unveiled

São José dos Campos, October 12, 2006 – Embraer announced today it will be presenting plans to enhance customer support for its Executive Jets during the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 59th Annual Meeting & Convention, to be held in Orlando, Fla., October 17-19. Customer Support plans include the expansion of its service center network, logistics, and the Embraer Executive Care and training programs.

On display at booth #5559 will be full-scale mockups of the Phenom 100 very light jet and the Phenom 300 light jet. New customer support solutions will also be demonstrated at the stand. The super mid-size jet Legacy 600 and the EMBRAER 190 commercial jet, the base-platform aircraft for the Lineage 1000 ultra-large business jet, will be on display at the static area.

The Company will also exhibit the replica of Alberto Santos-Dumont’s 14Bis biplane as part of the 100th anniversary of its first flight. The Brazilian aviation pioneer flew his invention on October 23, 1906, winning the Archdeacon Prize after an historical 60-meter (197 ft) flight at Bagatelle Field, in Paris.

To review the Embraer Executive Jets program achievements and present its new customer support plans, the Company will hold a press conference on October 16, in Room N220D of the convention hall. The press briefing is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and will be attended by the Company’s Chairman, President and CEO Maurício Botelho, Luís Carlos Affonso, Executive Vice-President, Executive Jets, and other corporate officers.

Embraer debuted in the Executive Aviation jet market in 2001 with the Legacy 600, a super mid-size aircraft currently with 85 units delivered and in operation in 18 countries.

In May 2005, Embraer announced the expansion of its executive jets portfolio by launching the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets. Targeting the very light and light jet segments, these aircraft are expected to enter service in mid-2008 and mid-2009, respectively. In May 2006, Embraer further expanded its product offering by introducing the Lineage 1000 ultralarge executive jet, to enter service in mid-2008.
