Embraer Displays Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 Mock Ups At Oshkosh Print E-mail

Aviation enthusiasts invited once again to visit the very light jet and light jet interior mockups at US event

São José dos Campos, July 20, 2007 – Embraer will participate in the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh, in Wisconsin, U.S., where flying enthusiasts gather annually to take part in one of the world’s most famous aviation events.  This year’s Oshkosh will be held July 23-29 with the display of the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jet mockups at the Company’s booth (S32).

“We are thrilled to be an active participant, once again, at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh.  Guests travel from all over the world to see the best in experimental aircraft, vintage warbirds and exciting new aircraft,” said Ernest Edwards, Vice President, Executive Jets Sales & Marketing for the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. “Aviation enthusiasts and professionals who attend this year will be pleased with the full-scale Phenom mock-ups, which present spacious cabins with comfortable seating and fine appointments, large baggage compartments and efficient cockpits.”

Embraer will host a press briefing at the event, on Wednesday, July 25, at the Company booth, when Luís Carlos Affonso, Embraer’s Executive Vice President, Executive Jets, will present the latest achievements of the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 aircraft, which are expected to enter into service in mid-2008 and mid-2009, respectively.

The Phenom 100 will comfortably accommodate four passengers in a typical club configuration. The generous 55-cubic-foot (1.56-cubic-meters) baggage capacity is big enough to store luggage, golf bags and even skis. The aircraft is capable of flying at 41,000 feet (12,497 meters) at a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.7, and is designed for shortfield takeoffs and hot and high operations. Its range with four occupants will be 1,160 nautical miles (2,148 km) with IFR NBAA reserves, allowing customers to fly nonstop from Oshkosh (US) to Orlando, New York or Aspen (US), at a lower cost than competitive aircraft, including turboprops.

The Phenom 300 has the largest cabin volume in the light jet category, comfortably accommodating up to nine occupants in an executive seating layout. The aircraft is capable of flying at 45,000 feet (13,716 meters) at a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.78, and is designed for short-field takeoffs and hot and high operations. Its range with six occupants will be 1,800 (3,334 km) nautical miles with NBAA reserves, allowing customers to fly nonstop from Oshkosh (US) to New York, Miami or Los Angeles (US), at a lower cost than competitive aircraft. The Phenom 300 appeals to corporations flying large turboprops and smaller light jets.

The very light jet Phenom 100 and the Phenom 300 light jet are part of Embraer’s product line for the business aviation market, whose portfolio also includes the Legacy 600 super midsize, and the Lineage 1000 ultra-large jets.

After Oshkosh, the Phenom mock-up tour continues to the U.S. states of Missouri, Kansas Colorado and California. The complete tour calendar and more details about Embraer’s executive jets are available at www.embraerexecutivejets.com.
