Aviation Technology Group Inc., announced the Javelin—a sleek, two-seat civil jet – will be on display in Australia for the first time at the Australian Air Show in Melbourne. The Javelin full-scale mockup will be on exhibit in the static display area in Section S5 next to the Joint Strike Fighter. “We’re excited to bring the Javelin to Australia,” said Dan Novick, managing director of Danair Aviation, the Javelin distributor for Australia and New Zealand. “We expect to ignite new enthusiasm for the Javelin in the local aviation market.” The Javelin design is a unique iteration of the very light jet genre. It combines state-of-the-art glass instrumentation, safety features, and jet engines featuring wide-sweep fan technology into a two place personal jet. With its high speed, maneuverability, and unprecedented performance—coupled with the economy, reliability, and comfort of a light business jet—the Javelin has no equal in general aviation. “All of us at ATG are very excited by the long-term prospects for Javelin sales in Australia and New Zealand,” said George Bye, chairman of ATG. “We believe our participation in the Australian Air Show will help us reach potential customers who’ll find the Javelin an ideal complement to their personal fleets.” ATG’s first Javelin demonstrator prototype aircraft flew its inaugural flight on September 30, 2005. With flight tests based at ATG facilities near Denver, Colorado ongoing, test articles and four subsequent conforming aircraft are being designed and built for FAA certification. |
