Charlotte, North Carolina - Jetpool, LLC is proud to present the second annual Future of Business Aviation Very Light Jet (VLJ) show on March 7-8, 2008 in Charlotte, NC at the Wilson Air Center, Charlotte Douglas International Airport. VLJs are the most affordable jets ever produced, at less than one third the price and half the operating cost of traditional business aircraft.
Anyone interested in experiencing this innovative technology firsthand should come to the show and see why the VLJ is changing the face of general aviation. Attendees will discover through static displays, exhibits and seminars how a VLJ can help them gain a competitive advantage, more effectively utilize the time of key employees, or simply improve quality of life. Last year, the 600+ attendees were blown away by the ability to quickly conduct side by side comparisons of so many VLJs in one location and by the insightful seminars. This year, the exhibition is nearly doubling in size to even more comprehensively cover the rapidly expanding VLJ segment. Aircraft and mock-ups will be presented by up to thirteen invited airframe manufacturers: Cessna, Eclipse, Spectrum, Embraer, Adam, Piper, Honda, Diamond, Epic, Hawker Beechcraft, Cirrus, Maverick and Excel. Invited aviation support companies include DTC Duat, Virgin Charter, Virgin Galactic, AirCell, SatCom Direct, Paperless Cockpit and Winslow Liferaft. Jetpool CEO and co-founder, Ryan Stone, stated, “This show is an opportunity to see firsthand, over the course of two days, almost the entire light jet landscape. Jetpool wants to apply its turnkey management expertise and affordable shared ownership program to simplify the VLJ ownership experience, enabling businesses and individuals to take full advantage of their aircraft.” Besides the actual exhibits, attendees can participate in seminars geared towards the aviation consumer. Industry leading subject matter experts from Jetpool, Riolo Law, Advocate Consulting, Bank of America, VLJ Group, John F. Throne & Co. Insurance Marketing and Corporate Fleet Services will speak and answer your questions in eleven different areas: VLJ101 - VLJ management, insurance, legal, tax and financing structures. VLJ Specialty Topics – VLJ secondary market, mentor pilots, charter & air taxi, shared ownership and charter-management legal pitfalls. "The very light jet is the newest time machine for the busy corporate executive,” said Jim Dickerson, National Market Executive, Corporate Aircraft Finance at Bank of America. “As a national leader in financing private aircraft, Bank of America is very interested in the market for very light jets. We have established preferred lending relationships with several of the very light jet manufacturers and expect to be active in financing this exciting new generation of aircraft for our clients nationwide." The Future of Business Aviation VLJ show is about understanding this new market by experiencing VLJs first-hand and learning from subject matter experts.
