Grob Aerospace has selected Honeywell to supply its RE100 auxiliary power unit (APU) for the spn, its new versatile business jet, which is Europe’s latest light jet. The flight envelope of the spn, Grob Aerospace’s new versatile, all composite light jet, has been now fully opened while the second prototype, P2, has completed its first flight and production of the third prototype, P3, is poised to start in early October for entry into the program in early 2007.

FAA authorizes maintenance and repair for Eclipse 500

Albuquerque, NM — October 03, 2006 — Yesterday Eclipse Aviation, manufacturer of the world’s first very light jet (VLJ), received 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station Certification two days after receiving FAA Type Certification. This important certification proves that the Eclipse service center has met the FAA’s stringent aircraft repair and maintenance regulations. Eclipse Aviation can now lead the repair and maintenance of any Eclipse 500 with a standard airworthiness certificate.
