Scheduled to begin operations in September 2009, Jetbird (www.flyjetbird.com) will offer a point-to-point, on demand private jet service in Europe. The launch of this service in Europe will offer all of the benefits of traditional private jet travel, but at a fraction of the cost of existing branded private jet operators.

Mr Dómhnal Slattery, Founder and Chairman of Jetbird, launched the business at EBACE in Geneva commenting, “Jetbird has a clear and compelling vision that will revolutionise the executive travel market in a manner similar to the low-cost airline transformation of the commercial air travel market. We will provide an attractive alternative for existing executive jet users, but also bring the executive jet travel experience to a market for whom it has been too expensive.

Jetbird will operate a fleet of over 50 Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft, a jet that offers similar cabin space and range to many existing, more expensive, private jets. Through scale and new, best-in-class aircraft, Jetbird will substantially reduce the cost of private air travel without comprising on the comfort, flexibility and convenience that is so desired. Jetbird will appeal to customers of high-cost alternatives while creating an entirely new experience for those whose time is valuable but for whom such travel was previously unaffordable.

Jetbird will, over time, have aircraft permanently based at a number of strategic hubs across Europe ensuring that customers have access when and where they need it.
