Grob Aerospace filed for bankruptcy in August 2008, suspending the developement and production of the SPn jet.

In January 2009 H3 Aerospace purchased the training aircraft and support business of Grob, resulting the training aircraft business restarting in Feburary 2009.

The SPn jet program was not included within that sale and has been retained by Grob's creditors for possible future development
