Embraer Print E-mail

(http://www.embraer.com/) has become one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world by focusing on specific market segments with high growth potential in commercial, defense, and executive aviation. We develop and adapt successful aircraft platforms and judiciously introduce new technology whenever it creates value by lowering acquisition price, reducing direct operating costs, or delivering higher reliability, comfort, and safety.

As a result, our aircraft provide excellent performance with day-in and day-out reliability, while being economical to acquire and cost-effective to operate and maintain. Equally important, we provide a superior product package, with comprehensive aircraft and after-sales support for parts, services, and technical assistance.

Embraer was Brazil’s largest exporter from 1999 to 2001 and the second largest in 2002, 2003 and 2004. It currently employs more than 16,500 people, 85.5% based in Brazil, and contributes to the creation of more than 3,000 indirect jobs.

The Legacy marked Embraer’s introduction in the business aviation market, where it intends to establish itself as a strong player.

Since the launch of the Legacy in 2000 and its entry into service in 2002, Embraer has endeavored to understand and respond to market and customer needs, continually improving the product and customer support. The knowledge accrued resulted in significant enhancements while creating the right conditions for Embraer to identify new opportunities in the business aviation market.

Embraer reaffirmed its commitment to this market with the announcement of the expansion of its portfolio on May 3rd, 2005. The company’s first move was to complement the Legacy offering with jets for the Very Light and Light categories; the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300.

The Phenom 100 and the Phenom 300 will be best-in-class. Premium comfort, outstanding performance and low operating cost are key design drivers for these jets.

The new jets were designed for high utilization and high availability. The pilot-friendly cockpit and the docile flying qualities of these new aircraft will enable single-pilot operation and offer an easy transition for less experienced pilots.

Embraer will also offer a complete range of integrated solutions that will support its product portfolio.

Since 1970, Embraer has designed, manufactured and supported products that are recognized and accepted worldwide. On the business aviation side, Embraer’s industrial credentials and the Legacy heritage will prove decisive for continued success in detecting and responding to market needs.
