ATG halted all further development of the Javelin VLJ in December 2007 and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in May 2008.

Founded in June 2000, Aviation Technology Group's Chairman and Founder, George Bye, had the intense desire to bring military style and performance to general aviation. Based at Centennial Airport in Englewood, Colorado.  ATG had leased more than 21,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities and an additional 34,000 square foot production facility.

In November 2007 there had been 153 positions sold for the ATG Javelin.
